Advisor of Indonesia CCS Center
Remembering the Net Zero Emission target by 2060, the Indonesian government is encouraged to reduce CO2 emissions in the oil and gas sector and industries that are hard to abate. The most effective technology to achieve that goal is Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). In accelerating the implementation of CCS, contributions are needed between relevant ministries and the CCS value chain industry from upstream to downstream. Indonesia CCS Center is present as a community that accommodates experts to find effective solutions to the challenges posed by CO2 emissions.
Indonesia CCS Center will organize the International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023 a forum and exhibition by government agencies, academics, and CCS industry players. The event is expected to generate good synergy for CCS development globally regarding regulations, investors, and infrastructure. In achieving the goal of this event, participation and support from various parties are needed.
Therefore, as the advisor of the Indonesia CCS Center, I invite all CCS industry players to participate in International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023 will be held on 11-12 September 2023 at Hotel Mulia Jakarta. This event is not just a discussion but also a starting point for long-term investment in the low-carbon industry in the future. Indonesia has a great potential to become a CCS Hub in the Asean Region so this investment will generate a multiplier effect for the country in terms of economic growth and sustainability.

I am delighted to present International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023 that will be held on 11 – 12 September 2023 at Hotel Mulia Jakarta. This event brings together the brightest minds and innovative thinkers from around the world to share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023, the first and largest CCS forum event in Indonesia, will be launched this year by Indonesia CCS Center (ICCSC) a community of experts from a diverse range of fields, including engineering, science, policy, and business.
The community is united by a shared commitment to find effective solutions to the challenges posed by CO2 emissions. Our mission is to promote and develop innovative solutions for capturing carbon emissions from various sources and storing them in a safe and effective manner.
In line with the theme of the International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023, we hope that this event will once again make us all aware of the importance of good management of the CCS industry so that a clearer and more structured CCS future can be created as well as affecting economic growth especially Indonesia in a good and positive way.
Reflecting on our aspirations to organize and develop the CCS industry, we hope for the support of CCS players to attend and enliven the International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023. We strongly believe that this event will produce a positive outcome that will be the starting point for the advancement of the CCS industry in Indonesia.

Dear colleagues and fellow advocates for a sustainable future,
As one of the observers and participants in the CCS sector, I am very enthusiastic about the idea of the International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023. I am well aware of how the industry will evolve and what its prospects are. Therefore, I am honored to be the inaugural chair of this series of events.
Through the discussion of actual topics related to the CCS industry, especially in Indonesia, the 1st International and Indonesia CCS Forum 2023 with the theme “Pioneering the Energy Landscape Decarbonization Future: Harnessing the Power of CCS Globally for a Cleaner Future and Economic Growth” will be presented. This forum is designed to be a platform enabling CCS players, stakeholders, and policy makers around the world to exchange ideas, experience, and strategy to accelerate the implementation of CCS hub, not only in Indonesia, but also in the wider regional scope. To shape the future of the CCS industry, in this event, essential topics will be delivered by inspiring speakers in the series of discussion sessions scheduled over two days.
We all aware the obstacles & challenges the CCS industry will face, so through this Forum, we can collectively formulate the strategy to smoothen the road ahead. I hope this forum can be a workable stage for the participants and their organizations to keep updated and informed about the latest development of the CCS sector. Therefore, I put a high expectation that this forum can be held annually. I am proud to say that this 2023 forum is the ground breaking for the bigger and successful events to come. I look forward to seeing you at the International & Indonesian CCS Forum 2023 at Hotel Mulia Jakarta on September 11-12, 2023!!
