It is a privilege to welcome you to The 4th International and Indonesia Carbon Capture and Storage (IICCS) Forum 2026. As we gather on 26 and 27 August 2026 at Hotel Mulia Senayan, we mark a pivotal moment in our nation’s industrial evolution.

As Advisor to the ICCSC, I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable transition of Indonesia’s CCS agenda, moving swiftly from strategic intent to tangible delivery. This forum serves as the premier nexus for the decision-makers and practitioners who are architecting the enabling environments, project readiness, and regional frameworks necessary to scale CCS with absolute integrity.

Our theme this year, “Advancing Indonesia CCS Project Deployment: Driving Policy Alignment, Regional Collaboration, and Sustainable Carbon Economy”, reflects the significant momentum gained in 2025. Over the past year, Indonesia has strengthened government-level engagement, streamlined investment and licensing pathways, and accelerated our cross-border readiness. We have also seen vital progress in carbon market enablement through robust recognition frameworks and deepened international cooperation.

The ICCSC remains steadfast in its commitment to practical policy advocacy alongside key ministries and agencies. Our focus is clear: supporting energy transition governance, aligning with national energy policies, and accelerating permitting processes. Our ultimate objective is to eliminate uncertainty, unlock investable structures, and ensure that project execution is both credible and scalable.
