It is a great privilege to welcome all esteemed delegates, industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to the 3rd International & Indonesia Carbon Capture Storage (IICCS) Forum 2025. This year’s theme, “Advancing Indonesia as a CCS Hub Leader in the Asia-Pacific: Achieving Net Zero and Economic Growth” , reflects our shared vision of positioning Indonesia as a key player in the global energy transition through the advancement of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies.
As the urgency to reduce carbon emissions intensifies, CCS has emerged as an essential solution for industries seeking to balance sustainability with economic and energy security. This forum serves as a strategic platform for dialogue, bringing together government representatives, business leaders, academics, and technology experts to discuss policies, showcase innovations, and explore opportunities that will drive the growth of CCS in Indonesia and beyond.
This year’s agenda has been thoughtfully curated to address the most pressing topics in the CCS ecosystem, including the latest technological advancements, investment opportunities, regulatory developments, and Government-to-Government collaborations that are shaping the future of CCS. Additionally, we will explore Indonesia’s unique potential to lead CCS adoption in the region. Through a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive networking sessions, we aim to generate actionable insights and foster collaborations that will accelerate Indonesia’s progress toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
Scheduled for October 7–8, 2025, at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, this forum underscores Indonesia’s strong commitment to leveraging CCS as a pathway toward a low-carbon future. We believe that multi-stakeholder collaboration, policy support, and technological innovation will be the key drivers in positioning Indonesia as a regional hub for CCS development.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all speakers, sponsors, partners, and participants who have made this event possible. Your dedication and insights will play a crucial role in shaping Indonesia’s leadership in the global effort to combat climate change while fostering economic resilience. I look forward to engaging discussions, knowledge sharing, and impactful collaborations that will help advance Indonesia’s role in the future of CCS and sustainable energy.
