Koji Ochiai is an Executive Officer and Senior Vice President, Low Carbon Solutions at INPEX Corporation. He has taken this responsibility of driving INPEX Corporation’s low Carbon businesses growth since 2026, leveraging his extensive experience in global E&P operations and project leadership.
Prior to this position, he was leading INPEX Norwegian projects as Managing Director of INPEX Idemitsu Norge AS (Oslo), one of the E&P core area in INPEX. In this role, he significantly expanded exploration acreage and advanced high-quality project opportunities, reinforcing the company’s presence in Norway.
He also took a few General Management roles in Eurasia Middle East Division and New Ventures & Global Exploration Division, where he played a central role in both executing major upstream developments and shaping INPEX’s global exploration strategy. In his earlier career, he served as the subject matter expert in geologist, including his secondment to TOTAL E&P U.K. as senior geologist. Koji Ochiai holds a Master in Geology from Hokkaido University, Japan.
